Only thing holding me back on giving this shoe a 5 star is that when you are breaking in the shoe my foot kept slipping out of the shoe and I would step on the back of the shoe which was uncomfortable. However, now that they are broken in, it doesn’t happen as often. I might try the next size down…Due to bone spurs in my heel, I buy shoes for comfort first and then style. These are very comfortable and stylish! Vionic is one of my favorite brands (even my house slippers are Vionics). When I was shopping for these, I noted that Vionic said they run large and to order a half size smaller than you usually wear. Even though I'm a true size 7, I ordered a 6 1/2. Fits perfectly!! First time in my adult life that anything other than a 7 has fit!These were very cute in the picture and I was excited when I opened the box. I slipped them on and walked around my home. My foot wouldn’t stay in the shoe. I was either stepping on the back or trying to hold my toes down to the point of them starting to ache. For the price I was highly disappointed.Looks amazing and it’s comfy tooI was a bit disappointed. I have bought several other Vionics and thought that these would be perfect for the summer. However I felt like every time I took a step I was walking out of the shoe. I tried a half size smaller thinking it might be tighter and experienced the same thing. I really wanted these to fit as they were so cute.Looks like it was designed for the shoe WITHOUT the insole that comes in the shoe, and as such is the height of the insole too short to actually function.Maybe sizing up half a size would fix the problem.Don’t recall reading no protected heel shoe.
